All Done!
I finished the second burp cloth tonight at The Stitch Store and hand washed them both when I got home. They're drying on my beach towel now, and hopefully they'll be dry in the morning to mail them tomorrow afternoon!
Now everyone (myself included) can stop making jokes about how Faith is going to be driving by the time I finish and send them out to California!

Hammie Antics
He looks like Arby, but has the acrobatic ability of Garfield...
The "thunk" at the end just makes me laugh!

Dumb Ants
Yesterday morning, I had planned to sort everything for the yard sale Dave and I are having next weekend. Unfortunately, the ants that have been a nuisance lately had discovered both my baking cabinet and my tea cabinet overnight.
So instead of pricing all of the extra furniture and duplicate small appliances from when we combined our stuff back in December, I was carrying several cabinets' worth of food and storage items out to the already over-cluttered dining room. While I'm working up the motivation to climb up on my counters to scrub the cabinet shelves with vinegar water, I have a mountain on top of my dining room table... *sigh*

Stupid ants!

And yes, those are freshly-baked lemon poppy seed muffins on the table! Why else would I have been in my baking cabinet to find my unwelcome visitors on a Saturday morning? Luckily I have learned to seal up pretty much everything from past ant invasions, but it's still a pain to clear everything out and squish all of the stubborn insects.

Closing Doors
I took the job as Admissions Coordinator at Southern Catholic College in October 2007 to be a part of the first Catholic residential college in Georgia. It was my first post-teaching step in the direction of figuring out what I wanted to be when I grew up (something I still have not figured out, but I hope and pray I'm getting closer to the answer!)
Sadly, my former employer announced its intention to close its doors yesterday due to lack of funds to complete the semester. I am grateful to SCC for teaching me the workplace skills that helped me secure the position I have now at RMA, and my time there will always hold a special place in my heart. A special shout out to the Trailer 2 crew--Fr. Higgins, Erin, Foster, Hector, Tony, and all of the work study students who kept me company in the main office!
