Something Accomplished

I finished all of the cross stitch involved in The Sewing Room this weekend, and it took (just barely) less than five years!  Now I need to do all of the backstitching...

Please ignore the unflattering angle of the picture and the fact that I should have put on make-up (even though I was running late to PINS).  On a positive note, my new haircut looked cute despite the torrential rain that afternoon!

Seuss Shower

I'm a bit delayed in posting, but here are pics from the co-ed Dr. Seuss baby shower earlier this month.  The most interesting part about the co-ed shower was how quickly the present-opening process can be with a guy.  It's also great when the dad-to-be likes to try on baby bibs, and his brothers are chucking packages of baby diapers across the room!

The last of the baby showers gifts (at least till the end of April)
Finished with an adorable teddy bear button from Mom's stash
The coolest fishbowl cupcakes

Care Package

I had a rough week, and my BFF did an awesome job of cheering me up.  On Thursday, I got a surprise bouquet of flowers--my grandfather passed away on Wednesday, so she sent them from her family to show her love and support.  The next day, I received the care package she had mailed earlier in the week.  It was filled with lots of good noms, post-its (one of my favorite things), yarn (another favorite item), and Sees candy (the best stuff ever)!

The care package that Mom and I sent for her daughter's birthday showed up just in time for Faith's party today!  Sorry, but I forgot to take pictures before I sent it out...

Work

I often feel like this at work before I've had my first cup of tea (or my second cup on a really rough morning). Unfortunately, I face-plant into a keyboard...
