My personal Vera Bradley supplier, HistoryDiva, gave me an early birthday present yesterday! She replaced my old tattered zip ID case with a bright new one--which I switched over to right away, of course!
I didn't realize how old and beat up my last one was until she informed
me that the Cupcakes Green pattern was retired two years ago. So now
I'm debating whether or not to update my hand-me-down super-retired Emily zip-around wallet. Wouldn't it be cute (and bright) in Lime's Up, my new pattern...

End of Season Obsession
Instead of obsessively knitting or reading lately, I've been obsessing over one of my current favorite TV shows through fan fiction and fan videos. If you don't watch Castle, you should start--I even have the first season on DVD I can lend to you! If you do watch, you'll probably squeal over this YouTube video just like I did. It makes me smile every time I watch :-)
Castle's fourth season ends on May 7th. The big question is whether or not Castle and Beckett will finally get together. One of my previous TV favorites, JAG, stretched out their main characters hooking up until the eleventh hour (literally the last five minutes of the series finale with an out-of-the-blue marriage proposal) after dragging the shipper fans along for nine years. Another, Lois and Clark, tried hooking them up too early (with another ill-timed proposal) and the show died a slow and bizarre-plot-twisting death over the next two seasons (clones, amnesia, and New Kryptonian civil war... ugh). My advice to the writers of Castle--no proposal until they've been dating at least half a season, please!

Fun at Work
Here's a fun little something from work today since I've been lacking in inspiration for posts lately. Can you tell how happy we are about getting rid of the antiquated phone system in our office?
The IT guy appreciated the humor when he came to pick up our box of discarded phones. I told him we stopped short of pasting eyes on a hammer and setting it next to the box...
