Mind the Ditch
I was very proud of myself this morning... I left the house earlier than usual, had enough time to swing into my favorite grocery store for a few needed items, and was on the last stretch of road to get to work. Then I saw brake lights.

Do you see the trail of leaves and mud behind the little red car? The whole right side was folded under, and there are leaves all up in the bumper from when it was being yanked out of the ditch if you look closely...
I am thankful that it was not my car that tried off-roading. And if I had to be late to work this morning because of a traffic snafu, at least I had third-row seats so I could take a picture and blog about it!

Cool Yarn

HistoryDiva and LibraryDiva found "cool" yarn during one random trip to Hobby Lobby early last fall. The orange skeins became a "cool" ribbed scarf for HistoryDiva's birthday back in October (and finished on time, I might add). The purple skeins became a six foot long mega-scarf in garter stitch for LibraryDiva's belated birthday present this past weekend.

Oopsie...
Last night I cleaned two hamster cages while watching DWTS. Since Trevor's cage was new to me, it took a lot longer to figure out how to get it apart (and then back together...). Somewhere in this cleaning process, an integral part of his cage went out with the waste. I noticed when I put him back in his cage and he tried to run on his wheel. Apparently there is a critical pin that holds the wheel in place, and without it, the wheel falls off and pins the hamster underneath. Rather than sift through two hammie's worth of dirty cage litter, I stopped by my local pet superstore on the way home and bought a new wheel.
I think this wheel is actually more "Trevor-sized" than the original. And it gives him a little more room to run and play in his hammie home!
