Projects to Finish
I've been knitting a lot lately, but not necessarily *finishing* projects. It's all those ends I have to weave in! Ugh! I just need a night in front of the TV with something mindless on in the background (Dave's football games?) so I can sit there and get it done.
I gave up on my recycled "Lazy Daisy" yarn becoming a complete bib and burp rag set and settled for a cute pair of dishrags instead. I wanted to try a new pattern, so I'm starting one of my recent WalMart yarn purchases as a set of dishrags in a pattern called "Chinese Waves."
I'm up to seven pregnant friends due in the first half of 2011, so I've been a baby bib knitting machine! I haven't woven in the ends on any yet, but I have two completely knit bibs, one missing the second strap, and I just started bib #4 last night (another one of my WalMart yarns). At some point in time I'll have to start all of the matching burp rags (even though knitting the bibs is so much more fun!)

I just went to the Yarn Garden in downtown Lawrenceville today. I finished my first scarf (potato chip scarf). It wasn't long enough so I had to ask what to do. I was showed how to add on another thingie of yarn. And I found out what's making 2 rows of stitches lead into one. 1. Don't twist your work when you put it down. 2. Make sure your long piece of yarn leading to your stitch bag is not on the left stick, must be on the right stick. Perhaps I'll be showing off things on my blog one of these days. I have Karen envy!
