Harry Potter and the Passage of Time

On a happy note, HistoryDiva has a British copy of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone that I brought back from England for her several years back. She also has a copy in German from a friend who lives out in Germany. I must say that HistoryDiva has some awesome friends!

Suite Seats

Dave scored some suite tickets to the Braves v. Nationals game on Monday night. I took a bunch of gratuitous Chipper pics for my BFF Heather since she is far away in California.

No Such Luck

Dave and I adopted some ducks for the Special Olympics Georgia Duck Derby which took place last Friday. Unfortunately we didn't win any of the cool prizes, but the adoption fee goes toward a good cause and the ducks are super cute!

Playing Tourist

My BFF, Heather, is out here from California, so today we did a couple of tourist things down in Atlanta. First stop: The Varsity for lunch where we met up with Dave (who had to work half-day)


Next stop: Turner Field where we got to take the tour of the ballpark. We saw inside the locker room and the exclusive SunTrust club level, and then we got to go down and stand inside the Braves' dugout (and watch the lawn maintenance guys hose down the field).



Tonight, we're off to regular Thursday night trivia at Wild Wing Cafe!

Castle Catch-Up

I'm enjoying the peace and calm of the week before my wedding to catch up on things that I've had to put on the side while I've been planning. Last night I watched the final season two episode of Castle from the DVR stash, and I can't wait till it is out on DVD in September! Guess now I can go back and re-watch season 1 on DVD. I bought it from Amazon before Christmas and have not had a chance to watch any of it. I think I only missed the pilot episode, so it will be good for background while knitting after we're back from our honeymoon. And I need to get Dave hooked on it, too...
